Privacy Policy

Home Assistant de Nicolas · Last updated: 7 July 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Home Assistant de Nicolas, a private, personal Home Assistant instance ("the app") operated by an individual ("the owner"), handles information obtained through Google APIs. The app is used solely by the owner to run their own household. It is not a commercial product and is not offered to any other users.

1. Information the app accesses

With the owner's explicit consent via Google OAuth, the app accesses:

The app accesses only the owner's own Google account data. It does not access data belonging to any other person.

2. How the information is used

3. Storage and retention

The app runs locally on hardware in the owner's home. Calendar and task data are fetched on demand and held only transiently in memory / local application state to render the displays; they are refreshed periodically and not accumulated into any long-term archive. OAuth tokens are stored locally on the owner's device to maintain the connection and can be revoked at any time.

4. Data sharing

No user data obtained through Google APIs is transmitted to any server other than Google's own APIs. There are no third-party recipients. The app's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

5. Revoking access

The owner can revoke the app's access to their Google account at any time via Google Account → Security → Third-party access. Doing so immediately stops all data access.

6. Security

Connections to Google APIs use HTTPS/TLS. The app runs on the owner's private local network; remote access, where enabled, is protected by encrypted tunnels and account authentication.

7. Children's privacy

The app is a personal tool for the owner and is not directed at children.

8. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated; the "Last updated" date above will reflect any change.
